Whatever we do, whatever we say
as memories fade, all passes away
like a melody lost, a heartfelt sigh
as the world slowly turns we live, then die

This is one I keep coming back to, and I meant to tell you how much I enjoyed it a long time ago. I like the feeling it elicits, though I hope it isn't meant to be too fatalistic. It reminds me of one I wrote about the flow of time, which could be interpreted that way, but isn't actually. We try to convey a truth and communicate a feeling, but it's only part of reality.
Anyway, you did a good job of getting that feeling across, and I really like it. Keep writing.
