The taste of snow is in the sky
the heavy clouds are rushing by
swirling snowflakes soft on my
hair,barely there,they float and fly

silence sweeps as the bright, white snow
covers the land with an eerie glow
my footsteps crunch as I onward go
through a landscape I no longer know

It's not often that someone can do an AAAA rhyme scheme without it sounding like the rhymes are bludgeoning you over the head like a Dr. Seuss book, but this is nicely done! :)

Wintery and wonderful if not a little mysterious.
