National Poetry Writing Month - Week One

This post was written in 12 minutes.
My first attempt at a limerick, back in 2014... All I could think of was Eustace in the Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

I see a round little black sheep
I feel she ought to be in a jeep
She protests - I can't drive!
Leave me on grass and I'll thrive
I'll eat all day and then I'll sleep.

I see a big bossy black ram
He thinks he likes to wham!
So I bribe him with peppermint
But he just can't get a hint
How to make him say Yes Ma'am?
