This weeks writing prompt did not immediately evoke a poem or a story, but today suddenly inspiration was there.

Trapped by water
all around
slowly muffling
every sound

Submerged, I'm floating
and feel stuck
between drowning
and big luck

And when I can no longer
hold my breath
a door in the ceiling
saves me from death

A joy
like never felt before
I am afraid of death
no more
