Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by R. Wesley Lovil on January 29, 2012
"You might as well ask me what it's like to live on Mars"

Winter Poetry- I Wonder About Winter

How can I write of winter, it's a season I don't know
I mean it does get cold here but I've never seen it snow
I've never seen a dusted treetop or roadsides banked in white
Oh, I'm sure it must be pretty and yet it gives me quite a fright
How can you live in winter, go to work or go to school
With frozen temps and icy roads, going out you'd be a fool
Yet the world doth carry on, as the snow just turns to slush
Don't listen to what that driver says it just might make you blush
Do I miss winter, oh maybe so but I think that I will still say no
And so I'll sit upon my beach watching TV for my snow
