Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by MarkHudson on April 11, 2011
"just talking about those moments where life is perfectly great but we live in our head and dwell on some negative thing"

Anger and resentment

Anger and resentment

Anger and resentment coarse through my veins,
Everything you do drives me insane,
people constantly getting on my nerves,
As i righteously observe.
"Let him without sin cast the first stone,"
But is God the angry one, on his throne?
Resentments from the past, and the present, too,
I hated school, it was nothing but a zoo!
Teachers making me look naked in front of the class,
exposing every weakness, just so could pass.
"Sticks and stones may break my bones,"
But I'm as frail as some ice cream cones!
Your negative comments do offend,
Don't pretend to be a friend.
Certainly, it's a situation we can amend,
Till you turn around and stab me in the back again!
Anger at the growing problems of the earth,
But not lifting a finger for what it's worth.
Anger over finance, romance and loss,
freaking out and temper tantrums is my boss.
Having moments where I act like I'm five,
How did I ever, ever survive?
If you're angry at God, you need his grace,
In the meantime, things go at a snail's pace!
