To My Coach (Grab Bag Poem)

In school I run track
My coach says I slack

I try to run fast
But he says to relax

He says it kind of accusingly
Which I always take amusingly

Sometimes I hurt myself running
He gets all anxious and starts humming

He hums a sweet tune
That makes me stop feeling like a loon

Once I went to his house for a bit
We started talking, and he told me to sit

I informed him he was well-to-do
And he said, 'Why thank you, I enjoy my house too'

I don't really understand that man
But he always has a wonderful plan

Even though he can be rough
I think its just a bluff

He's very kind, and smart too
He can get you in a good mood

Even when you're feeling blue
He turns your smile up for you
