Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by Ayron on November 3, 2010

Favorite Sport

I love to watch football. It could be American football where there's a bunch of sweaty guys shoving themselves past other sweaty guys or it could be Euro football (soccer), where there are also sweaty guys but they run up and down a grassy field for a few hours.

Being a spectator in a home Am. football game is beyond fun. There's always the people in the front that scream out support for the home team. And there's the schmoes who use going to the football game as an excuse to slink around behind the stands to check out girls and/or talk with their equally uninterested friends.

Personally, I prefer to stand just behind the fanatics in the first few rows in the stands. That way I can see what's going on in the game and see the scoreboard. And I can cheer my heart out with my fellow cheer-shouting attendees without losing any of my hearing.

The cheers that we students do are very loud, very supportive of our own team, and doesn't involve sussing out players of the other team nor the referees. With two or three of the cheers, we join our school cheerleaders in doing a cheer.
