The Mirror Never Lies

This post was written in 5 minutes.
I have been writing a short story version of Beauty and the Beast, and this poem further explores the theme I've been playing in with in that story.

Blinks once,
Looks closer,
Watching, waiting, wondering
What was that face?
Whose were those fangs?
Where were her
Blue eyes,
Blonde curls,
Red lips?
Where was she?
Who was that?
She looks again,
Hoping,
Praying,
Fretting.
And there it is again.
Blood eyes,
Green skin,
Dripping fangs,
Her.
