Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

"I had no idea I still had anything to say to Santa."

Santa- I Can't Explain.

Dear Santa,
No, I can't explain. I would much rather receive a lump of coal and keep my individuality, and the lessons I have learned, than have your presents with the knowledge that you consider me a "good girl."
Define "good girl."
Santa, I used to believe in you. And once I believe in something, it stays forever. Whether or not I have let it go. On Christmas Eve, I can feel you in the house. It does not mean that you have to be physically there. You are the spirit of the occasion.
Here is what I want from you for Christmas this year: don't be something that parents invented to keep their kids in line. They should do that by themselves. Be your own. Make yourself worth it.
