I've never even imagined myself inventing anything, although I have sometimes imagined or fantasized that I wrote hit tunes that everyone knows and sings. I see myself sitting in front of a piano (that I can't even play), performing songs for my friends and family, as they sit in awe and amazement at my talent. I always amazes me, in fact, that the kind of talent exists that can write a song that can have an everlasting impact on people. Even those who make fun of Barry Manilow's corny, romantic songs such as "Mandy," would admit, under some duress perhaps ,that they envy his capacity to bring a tune such as that one to the world.

In my next life I want to be a pianist and songwriter. In the meantime, I admire the person or people who put this site together. I'm hoping I'll be able to bring it to my classroom and engage my students.
