I lay there, blinded to the sunlight outside

My eyes are open, but I see nothing at all

My mind, a million miles from where I am

I surrender, into the black pit I fall

Going through the motions, one step at a time

To the outside world I continue to thrive

But if they could see what’s inside

And see the daily struggle, just to survive

All these dead ends, these twists and turns

And no one understands

I feel my whole life dissolving

All I need is a helping hand

I want to ask for help, but can’t find the words

They form in my head, but won’t come out

It’s like a nightmare that never ends

As the pictures in my brain spin about
