I try to write but nothing comes to mind
I stare at my blank page and feel the dread
The due date's coming closer, what a bind
I write, but it's all jumbled in my head
The words don't fit and I erase again
I cannot stop the coming of my fate
As panic comes words tumble from my pen
Oh why, oh why, did I procrastinate?
After so long I find the words that fit
I write them down before they run away
The lightbulb in my head, it has been lit
I write the final line. It took all day!
At last, I'm done. I'll go and turn it in.
Oh, no! There's two. I start over again.
