Writing Resources from Fifteen Minutes of Fiction

The following is a piece of writing submitted by Aimster du Clarkentine on May 10, 2008
"Just like we sometimes can't run from bad weather, conflict often sneaks up and bombards us with unpleasant situations."

Storm

Clouds come creeping, creeping,
colliding, burdened but gliding
Flashing angrily with lightning.

Storm is rolling, rolling--on its way
Here to take the sun out of my day.
I know what comes, yet don't run away.

Wet beads
dripping,
dropping
Down my face.
I stay in place.

I am afraid of thunder
but I can't escape
the sounding in my ear
I hope the floods
Don't pull me under.

Clouds come creeping
creeping, crashing now
not in the sky, but in your brow.
