Inanimate Perspective
I stand on a polished dark desk all day, but even then, it is sheer luck that I stand. Ridiculed, with only two legs, a flaming wig, a scarf and a white Sunday hat, I am no lamp, but a fraud. Barely ever put to use, hidden behind a pile of papers, objects of no other use than that of occupying space. Made fun of all day long, I face down, down to the hard brown surface, thinking.More writing by this author
