From Maine! I just went down to the library and there were two robins on a bare patch of lawn. One of them appeared to have found a worm. Can't get much better than that!

Well it is above freezing today.

Aw, I miss the days when robins meant spring was on its way. Down here they stay year round. I always feel like there is something wrong with seeing a robin in the middle of the winter.

Robbins?! How wonderful!! :-)

And if you don't mind me asking, Sylvan, where are you from?

I was just out back of my house and found that I had daffodils and Oriental poppies poking through the ground. Of course they will be killed back a dozen times (at least) by frost and won't blossom for another couple of months, but they are trying.

I'm from Maine originally, but I'm living in PA now.

The crocuses have started blooming here. It's nice to see them; but it still feels a bit early to me.

WOW must have been out shoveling the flower garden last week in order to have bare ground this week. :) My crocuses and daffodils are still under about 2 feet of snow (a conservative estimate). No sign of robins around here, either.

Well, signs of spring up here in the middle of nowhere are quickly disappearing...And getting replaced with more white stuff! I guess we're supposed to get more rain, sleet, freezing rain, and wind in the next couple of days. :-\

Apparently one of the local news weather reports referred to today's storm as our "traditional Wednesday storm".
